Health
Africa has a perennial problem with clean water and storage facilities. Supporting the United Nations Millennium Development Goals of sustainable, safe drinking water, several Zain operations across Africa provided tanks, water towers and funded water boreholes to a number of communities. This life-saving program has a great impact on public health.
Every Zain operation In the Middle East and Africa is involved in sponsoring health-related programs either through printing and distributing material, active participation such as building wards, refurbishing Hospitals Donating Vaccines to Health Ministries, emergency treatments for difficult cases locally and abroad, and donations of medical equipment and supplies. We have also developed several SMS campaigns for both donations and health awareness issues.
