Sustainability

At Zain, respect for human rights is embedded across our operations, policies, and stakeholder relationships. We recognize our responsibility to uphold internationally recognized human rights principles and to foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for employees, customers, suppliers, communities, and all stakeholders connected to our business.
Zain’s approach to human rights is guided by our Human Rights Policy Statement, Code of Conduct, Supplier Code of Conduct, and broader governance frameworks, which help reinforce ethical business practices, non-discrimination, fair treatment, employee wellbeing, privacy, and responsible business conduct across our operations and value chain.
In parallel, Zain continues to strengthen awareness, accountability, and engagement around human rights through internal policies, employee training, supplier engagement, and ongoing governance processes. Human rights considerations are also integrated into supplier expectations and operational decision-making to help promote responsible and ethical practices throughout the business ecosystem.

At Zain, responsible supply chain management is an important component of our broader sustainability and governance approach. We recognize the role our suppliers, partners, and contractors play in supporting responsible business practices and long-term sustainable value creation across our operations and value chain.
Zain’s approach focuses on integrating environmental, social, ethical, and governance considerations into procurement processes, supplier engagement, and operational oversight. Through our Supplier Code of Conduct and related governance frameworks, suppliers are expected to align with Zain’s standards relating to ethics, human rights, labor practices, environmental management, health and safety, and responsible business conduct.
In parallel, Zain continues to strengthen supplier accountability and transparency through due diligence processes, supplier assessments, engagement initiatives, and ongoing monitoring practices. This includes encouraging greater visibility around environmental impacts, responsible sourcing, material traceability, and broader sustainability performance across the value chain.
We recognize the importance of preserving the planet and its resources and are committed to seek ways on reducing our carbon footprint, mitigate climate-related risks and identify opportunities that help preserve energy, water and biodiversity. Zain conducts comprehensive stakeholder engagement process on a continuous basis to help influence policy makers and governmental entities to make sure it complies with any climate related regulation that is set in its market.
